Gynopedia is an open resource for sexual, reproductive and women's health care across the globe. Our mission is to provide practical, non-judgmental information so that users can feel empowered and make informed decisions. It’s a wiki, so everyone is invited to contribute, and please, please do! The basic idea is that you search for a city -- for example, New York City -- and Gynopedia provides information based on that location. So, let’s say you want to buy tampons in Seoul, or find an LGBT-friendly gynecologist in Istanbul, or you need the morning after pill in Lima. Well, Gynopedia is the resource for you.

Welcome! Check out the About page to learn our story & how to get involved.

How do we get all this information? Contributions from real people. So, we would love if you can help us out too! To get started create an account. Then search for a city and begin contributing. Let us know which generic birth control pills made you feel shitty. Let us know which gynecologist was especially awesome. And, if you search for a city that currently doesn't have a page, you can create the page yourself. It's super easy, and we provide instructions on our About page. Or, if you want some help, I can create the page for you (email me at gynopediazer@gmail.com).

Want to check out a page? Here's the New York City page You'll see that there are ten categories, including contraception, emergency contraception (the morning after pill), menstruation, STD tests, gynecological exams, pregnancy, abortion, counseling and more. The page also covers social/legal issues, costs & insurance options, and local recommendations from users.

Gynopedia is a community and we appreciate your interest! To learn about our story, check out our About page. To learn our rules and guidelines, please check out our Gynopedia Guidelines. If you need any help, or you have any questions, please email me: gynopediazer@gmail.com.

Thank you for supporting our project!
