Generally, oral contraceptives seem to be widely used in the UAE. In 2012, a study of 500 women found that oral birth control pills were the most common form of contraception, and 84% of women did not object to the use of contraceptives. In a 2015 UN report, it was found that 48.1% of UAE women (who are married/in unions and of reproductive age) use some form of contraception, which may include modern methods (such as condoms, pills, implants, etc) or traditional methods (such as the rhythm method).[1]
