Gynopedia is an open resource wiki for sexual, reproductive, and women's health care across the globe. Our mission is to provide practical, nonjudgmental information so that users can feel empowered and make informed decisions. The basic idea is that you search for a city -- for example, New York City or Seoul -- and Gynopedia provides free information on birth control, the morning after pill, STI tests and treatment, menstrual products, gynecologists, obstetricians, prenatal care, abortion access, counseling resources and more in that city. So, let’s say you need a low-cost clinic in New York, or an LGBTQ-friendly gynecologist in Bangkok, or the morning after pill in Lima. Well, Gynopedia is the resource for you.

Welcome! Check out the About page to learn more.

How do we get all this information? Contributions from real people, along with research and community outreach. So, we would love if you can contribute! Simply search for a city and click "Edit" to begin contributing. You don't need to create an account to contribute. Once you're ready to edit a page, let us know which pharmacies, clinics, or gynecologists worked out for you (or any to avoid). Let us know any local stigmas, social customs, or taboos that are important to consider. Share your local wisdom!

Here's a video to help you get started.

You may search for a city that doesn't have a page yet. If so, no problem! You can create the page yourself; it's super easy and we've provided instructions on our Gynopedia Guidelines page. Or, if you want some help, we can create the page for you (email us: gynopediawiki@gmail.com). You may also find a city page with very little information up. Please feel free to add information. Currently, there are over 100 city pages that we consider rather robust and information-rich, which we list on the Gynopedia Index. These pages aren't "complete" -- they're just farther long, information-wise.

We support translation! If you're interested in translating a page into another language, email us: gynopediawiki@gmail.com
