Note from a local: "Lanka hospitals and Nawaloka are particularly awful, with friends and acquaintances having really terrible experience with the medical staff. I've easily come across at least ten instances where a patient who went to get checked for an STD was reprimanded for having sex outside of marriage. The Family Planning Association (FPA) is a lot better in that department but in general, trying to get any of the such services, particularly if you are unmarried, is a fairly uncomfortable process at any normal hospital.
