In Sweden, there are no residency or travel restrictions related to HIV or STI status. You don't need any medical certificates to enter the country. Antiretroviral medications can also be imported for personal use. However, according to one source, Swedish law does state that if someone has reason to believe that they have HIV and they plan to come to Sweden, they must consult with a doctor and follow that doctor's advice (in short, HIV+ people should be following their doctor's advice).[1]
